چکیده

In this work, tea saponin (TS) which is indispensable in Camellia oleifera industry was used to synthesize a class of hydrophobic carbon dots (TS-CDs) with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) properties. A new fluorescent sensing platform based on AIE and non-modified TS-CDs for the detection human serum albumin (HSA) pH developed, respectively. Interestingly, developed capable ratiometric detecting extremely acidic range 0.2–1.8 linearly (R2 = 0.9959) due protonation-deprotonation. Meanwhile, exhibited well stability toward HSA over wide linear (0–180 μM), long-term (48 h), (2–13). Furthermore, utilized localize mitochondria detect living cells, demonstrating its promising perspective biosensing applications. This work may pave novel avenue high value-added utilization extraction process extracting camellia oil food woody oil.

Kill two birds with one stone: curing accessory pathways and premature ventricular contractions with one ablation

Radiofrequency catheter ablation has been used for treating cardiac arrhythmias, such as premature ventricular contractions and accessory pathway. We report two cases with successful ablation of left-sided accessory pathways and premature ventricular contractions from mitral annulus with one ablation. To our knowledge, no similar reports have been found so far.

Transduction with Matrix Completion: Three Birds with One Stone

We pose transductive classification as a matrix completion problem. By assuming the underlying matrix has a low rank, our formulation is able to handle three problems simultaneously: i) multi-label learning, where each item has more than one label, ii) transduction, where most of these labels are unspecified, and iii) missing data, where a large number of features are missing. We obtained satis...

Kill Two Birds with One Stone: Weakly-Supervised Neural Network for Image Annotation and Tag Refinement

The number of social images has exploded by the wide adoption of social networks, and people like to share their comments about them. These comments can be a description of the image, or some objects, attributes, scenes in it, which are normally used as the user-provided tags. However, it is well-known that user-provided tags are incomplete and imprecise to some extent. Directly using them can ...

Moxifloxacin for Buruli ulcer/HIV coinfected patients: kill two birds with one stone?

Buruli ulcer is a necrotizing infection of skin and soft tissue caused by Mycobacterium ulcerans that results in significant morbidity and often long-term disability. It is endemic in West and Central Africa affecting regions similarly burdened by a high prevalence of HIV. According to the Médecins Sans Frontières programme in Akonolinga, Cameroon, the prevalence of HIV is approximately three t...

Simultaneous Assessment of Systemic and Coronary Endothelial Function: Can We Kill Two Birds With One Stone?

Besides lining the inner surface of vessels, endothelium serves other important functions, including keeping blood and platelets in a nonthrombotic status, avoiding intravascular activation of inflammatory cells, and finally what is possibly the most important function—and definitely the most actively investigated—namely regulation of vascular tone and blood flow. To a large extent, these vario...
